I discovered UX Design in high school, right around the time I was obsessing over pottery, perfecting handles, testing glazes, making objects that worked as well as they looked. I enrolled at Tufts planning to study Human Factors Engineering but got sidetracked by Architecture and Education, which taught me how people experience and move through designed spaces as well as how people learn and process information.

I spent the next four years working in International Education, first in Spain with the Fulbright Commission, then at Tufts. But I kept noticing design problems everywhere: forms that confused people, systems that created unnecessary friction. The pull back to UX was impossible to ignore.

I started a certificate in HCI which gave me the confidence to committed fully. I left my job, moved to London, and started my MSc in HCI at City, University of London.

Now I design digital experiences that empower people to accomplish what they need to informed by years of watching users from diverse backgrounds struggle with systems that created barriers instead of removing them.

Outside of work, (usually at 2am) you can find me working on creative projects: sewing, embroidery, digital art, whatever lets me work with my hands and see an idea become something real.
